Context

Trendela is a market assistant app that lets retail investors see their portfolios on one screen and get AI-assisted insights.

Problem

Financial data changes constantly and users expect it current on every launch. Data freshness and app startup speed had to hold at the same time, and cost had to stay under control as portfolio count grew.

Solution

We moved data fetching and analysis behind a REST API; the mobile app consumes only finished results. A caching strategy cut both request volume and startup time. AI insights are generated on the backend and written to cache, so no extra work happens on the device.
